Have you been wanting to dial in your nutrition a bit, but you don’t know where to start? If so, I hope you’ll join us for our Lazy Macros jumpstart!
In this post, I’ll give a brief overview of the program, why you should do it, and how to get in on the fun.
What is Lazy Macros?
Lazy Macros is a 28-day nutrition jumpstart that focuses on just 3 diet priorities: fruits, vegetables, and protein.
During the jumpstart–which takes place in Wodify Rise–you’ll track four habits each day for 28 days:
- Eating at least 800 grams of fruits and veggies each day (yep, this builds upon one of our most popular nutrition challenges each year–the 800g challenge).
- Eating at least 0.7 ounces of protein per pound of body weight per day.
- Sleeping at least 7 hours each night.
- Completing 7 workouts per week (2 of these should be recovery workouts, like a walk, a light jog, or an easy bike ride)
I’ll share some tips, tricks, and encouragement along the way, and you’ll also receive support and accountability from our closed jumpstart group (not to mention, a Wodify leaderboard!).
Why Lazy Macros?
Perhaps you’re wondering why the gym is doing Lazy Macros, and why you should join in the fun.
There are lots of reasons why I like the jumpstart, but one biggie is its emphasis on adding healthy foods to the diet, rather than subtracting less healthy foods. In my experience as a registered dietitian, feeling deprived is a big predictor of weight regain on a diet. With Lazy Macros, no food is off-limits. You can eat anything you want as long as you get in your fruits, veggies, and protein.
I also love it because it’s simple, but not easy. The first time I did it, I realized pretty quickly that you have to plan to be successful. Lazy Macros actually helped me to reestablish a meal planning habit that had gone into hibernation during a busy time in my life.
Finally, it’s suitable for anyone–whether you want to lose weight or just feel healthier. And I don’t say this to make you feel bad, but you’re probably not getting enough protein, fruits, and veggies. Most people don’t. This challenge is a great kickstarter for healthy eating habits (which I why I think of it as a jumpstart).
I’m going to let you in on a secret–I work with most of my one-on-one clients to establish these very habits. Joining us for Lazy Macros can give you a taste of what nutrition coaching is like, for a fraction of the cost.
Lazy Macros will run for 4 weeks beginning Monday, February 28th.
We’ll do a virtual kickoff seminar on Monday, February 21st at 6 p.m. CST. During this call, we’ll go over the scoring, rules, and tips for success. It’s a great opportunity to learn if it’s a good fit for you if you’re on the fence!
The cost of the challenge is $30, and it’s open to anyone (regardless of whether you’re a 26 member).
Spaces are limited so I can provide you with lots of support along the way, so grab your spot ASAP!
