If you’ve ever had a Chick-fil-A peppermint milkshake and thought, “This is pure holiday magic, but also…hello, sugar coma?” you’re in good company. I’m all for indulging, but sometimes you just want that festive, minty goodness without derailing your goals or needing a nap after. Enter: my high-protein peppermint shake.
This shake is creamy, sweet, satisfying, and packs a serious protein punch. Plus, it’s super easy to make, which is a holiday miracle in itself. Let’s get blending!
How to Make Our High-Protein Peppermint Shake
I created this recipe with one of my favorite nutrition clients, who was feeling the pull of the Chick-Fil-A Peppermint Milkshake a little more than they cared to admit (seriously, what IS it with that shake?!).
Initially, we were trying to figure out how many peppermint shakes this client could enjoy while still feeling great and hitting their goals.
But then it hit me: What if we just created a version that tastes amazing and is actually GOOD for you?!
This peppermint shake makes hitting your daily protein target easier, and it’s also very low in added sugar.
Oh, and that client I mentioned? They don’t even miss that Chick-Fil-A shake. They haven’t had a single peppermint milkshake all season, because they get to have one of these every single day (completely guilt-free).
Our recipe calls for dairy milk and whey protein, but you could certainly swap in some plant-based options if dairy isn’t your thing.

Is this High-Protein Peppermint Shake Actually Healthy?
Now, the moment of truth. Let’s compare our high-protein peppermint shake with the Chick-Fil-A peppermint milkshake.
The Chick-Fil-A Peppermint Chip Milkshake has 670 calories, 23 grams of fat, 109 grams of carbohydrate, 94 grams of sugar, and 11 grams of protein.
Our version has just 268 calories, with 3 grams of fat, 10 grams of carbohydrate, 6 grams of sugar (mostly naturally-occurring from the milk), and a whopping 46 grams of protein.
What can I say except, “You’re welcome!”
